ANNA SOCHA            GRAPHIC FACILITATOR

Anna Socha

she/her

Settler of Anglo-Indian and European descent

Founder of Streamline Visuals

Anna was born and raised in Duwamish territory (Seattle) and has lived in Lək̓ʷəŋən, W̱SÁNEĆ and Haida territories on the coast of British Columbia (BC) for the last 10 years. Anna is an artist and a people person who is passionate about art as an instrument to connect and facilitate conversation and understanding. Streamline Visuals was created to do just that.

Anna brings to this work her education in Geography, her training in Facilitation, and her experience working with First Nations communities in BC. She uses colour, shapes, and text to draw focus and “map” the flow of conversation on the page. Anna uses a participatory method that concentrates on what people are responding to most, and is adaptable and flexible to the lived experience in the room. She listens for land based metaphors, decolonial and accessible wording, and community focused concepts.

Anna has a broad range of experience from graphic recording for structured remote 1-hour meetings with small internal teams, to large in-person multiple day events with participatory activities and on-the-fly agendas. She has predominantly worked in spaces where the focus is hearing from and sharing with local Indigenous communities.

FEATURE PROJECTS

Every live Graphic Recording is created with a specific audience in mind; the people in the room, and the people they want to connect with. To best understand this work, click on the links below to see the graphics in the context of their communities. By sharing these visuals with a larger audience they can support communication, collaboration, and relationship building beyond the event, and for years to come. Graphic Recordings can be stand alone, but they are also a great way to draw people in to learn more about the work and the details of the project at hand.
